Default Concept Skill: Contravene Agony

Contravene Agony
15 energy
2 second casting time
30 second recharge time
Hex Spell. For 4...16 seconds, target foe takes no damage from attacks. When this hex spell ends, for every hit that should have dealt 40 or more damage, that foe loses 20...51 health (minimum health left 80...34). (Illusion Magic).

Umm... I don't think I worded that out very well.
So basically you cast this on the dude, he temporary tanks, for 16 seconds. But try to attack that foe with things that should deal over 40 damage, and when the hex ends, you may use shatter delusions, that foe can take quite a devastating blow which a minimum of 34 health left. Maybe that's too low...
But yeah, that's how it's suppose to work.

I had an idea similar to this awhile back, it was something like:

Hex Spell: For 10 seconds target foe takes no damage from any source. When this hex ends it deals an amount of damage equal to the amount that would have been received during the duration of the hex.

Basically a delayed spike. I like your version better though. Except I would remove the minimum health thing ^_^. If they are stupid enough to keep getting attacked with this on then they deserve to die, hehe

Well, think it of it this way.
PvE, lots of guys who can inflict pain on you and will chase you down for a little while.
Also this can be very mean against runners, so I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate this.

There's Rising Bile.
But come to think of it, if this skill laaves so little health left, should it be an elite?

I like placebo's idea a little better. Otherwise, this skill would really need a 25/6/60 mod placed on it because it could essentially kill a target in one quick step. I honestly think warriors would be using this more than any mesmers would!
